ive never been there but i have always wanted to go. ppl have told me its a great place to visit. when i go i plan going to these places

I’m leaving for Phoenix Az next week to see my bf, while he is at work; I’m alone to entertain myself, what is there to do in Phoenix? Apart from sitting on their uncomfortable buses (I drive but have not taken my test yet) for hours to get to one destination. My last visit was great because I had my daughter with me, (not this time) I don’t necessarily want to do the typical tourist thing; I just need to do something to kill time. So what can I do solo???
I’m staying in Bell road (16th St). I do like museums/Galleries, but I found them to be crap and a waste of money-.sorry but does not compare to London, I like anything Art related, music, going for walks, shopping/browsing., also where can I get a bus pass from for a day/week- Thanks
It might help to know exactly where you are staying…what part of town….do you like to shop…lots of great malls all over the valley. Do you like museums, Phoenix, Scottsdale and Glendale all have some great museums, we haver water parks and small amusement parks (castles and coasters, fiddlesticks etc.)…give me a clue what you enjoy and I’ll give you some tips!

From 16th Street and Bell Road you could go to the Paradise Valley Mall at Tatum & Cactus.
If you just enjoy a walk, take off going south on 16th Street about 3 miles down (you could probably take the bus here) you will find the Lookout Mountain Preserve…great nature trails and other things to do…see link below.
I won’t recommend any museums since they are "crap" but I never expected anyone to compare Western Artists, the Native Americans and what not to the Grand Masters.
You might enjoy a day trip to the Arizona Science Center or a tour of the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Do you know for a fact that Employers don’t hire grads of Phoenix Online? If so, can you back this claim up with solid facts and stats, possibly some nationwide survey or other legit documents and study? I want real life examples, not opinions. I dont care how much you know about Higher education. I want to know about how employers treat it.
Also, Can you prove that employers in other countries look down upon UPX online grads? any real life examples?

Good question. I have always wondered where these people come up from such claims. Interesting fact is that all of them use the word "brick and mortar". lol. brick and mortar does not mean anything today. everything is online,and modern employees with open minds dont care where you get degrees from. Baby boomers will soon be gone, and people of digital age will be all over the place.
I think that most of these people who are negative about UPX online are the ones who cannot afford it, and I doubt any of them can back their claims up. don’t listen to these morons. do what you have to do.

This is mainly for research purposes for my new novel. I’ve been in Phoenix in 1/05. No fast food restaurants. But good restaurants to serve great food in the Phoenix Metro area inc. Sedona, that might include lobster. Excellent opinions from tourists and Arizona residents will be great.

Veneto Trattoria Italiana, an italian restaurant on the corner of Scottsdale Rd and McDonald Dr. Nice lunch and atmosphere, a lot of the servers have Spanish/Italian accent and are very nice too. Makes everything just perfect!
Also La Madeleine is always good. A French street food style restaurant.
Zinc Bistro by Kierland commons have excellent salad too^^
